Consilia is looking for a fellow PCB layouter to join its SW/HW development team

Consilia is a medium-sized Czech company that has been successfully working with European customers for 20 years on innovative projects in the field of electronics and embedded software development.

The results of our work can be found in today's embedded systems, test and measurement systems, and state-of-the-art communication devices.

Job description

As a PCB Layouter, you will independently design printed circuit boards using the company CAD tools and based on an input wiring diagram.

Main tasks

PCB design according to the given specifications.
Preparation and maintenance of the CAD database of components.
Participation in creating technical specifications and project plans.
Close coordination with other team members (HW and mechanical engineers).
Communication with manufacturers and suppliers.
Preparation of manufacturing documentation.
Planning and ensuring the production of samples.
Production support as required (design modifications, documentation, reports).
Cooperation with international colleagues.

To work with Consilia, you need

Printed circuit board (PCB) design experience - If you enjoy electronics development, you'll have some.
Experience with PCB design software (Cadence Allegro/OrCAD PCB design) - An advantage; you can get into this over time without previous experience with a particular tool.
User proficiency in MS Office - Even if it seems mandatory.
Independence with a focus on meeting set goals - Let's keep the projects moving along nicely.
Creativity, diligence, responsibility - Just the optimal mix of soft skills.
Communication and teamwork skills - This will be appreciated by customers and colleagues, including the boss.
The desire to push the electronics development a bit further - Our creations change with the times and you can rarely buy something like this on Aliexpress.
Knowledge of English, both written and verbal - At least the communicative basics to get along with the customer and accommodate the hotel. We offer opportunities to improve your English with us.
Knowledge of German is an advantage - Some of our customers are from Germany and like to chat over a beer in the evening. We offer opportunities to improve your German.
Driving license no. B is an advantage - We often transport our customers in the EU by car, but we are not opposed to the comfort of the train.
